Metro’s baseball team struggled in their weekend series against the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers and lost three of the four games at Auraria Field. The losses set them back to a 21-11 record overall and 17-10 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference standings.
The Metro women’s soccer team had a mixed bag of results Oct. 13– 17, losing to Regis University, beating Colorado State University at Pueblo, and tying Fort Lewis College.
Metro men’s basketball was a season of excitement and adversity, as well as disappointment. They finished the 2009-2010 campaigns at 24-7 with an RMAC championship under their belt, but they lost to the Central Region Tournament champion St. Cloud State Huskies in the opening round of the Central Region Tournament.
Metro baseball traveled to Nebraska in search of series win after wining six out of the last seven games. Unfortunately, the team’s three-game winning streak was snapped and the Roadrunners dropped three of four against the University of Nebraska-Kearney April 9-11.
