After going winless the previous weekend, the Metro women’s soccer team compensated for their recent struggles.
With six matches left in the regular season, the Metro volleyball team knows they’re not in complete control of their own destiny.
Metro men’s basketball was a season of excitement and adversity, as well as disappointment. They finished the 2009-2010 campaigns at 24-7 with an RMAC championship under their belt, but they lost to the Central Region Tournament champion St. Cloud State Huskies in the opening round of the Central Region Tournament.
The Metro baseball team was eliminated from the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference tournament after dropping back-to-back games against Mesa State on May 5 and New Mexico Highlands May 6 in Kearney, Neb.
After dropping the series opener, 19-4, against CSU-Pueblo April 1, the Metro baseball team responded quickly with three consecutive wins, 9-7 and 6-5 on April 2 and 19-2 April 3 at Auraria Field.
