Celebrate the country’s independence with something that makes it great: rock ‘n’ roll. July 4, Israel’s premier rock band, Monotonix, will take the stage at Rhinoceropolis.
“Take the stage,” might be the wrong phrase. The trio has been known to set up in the crowd and in bathrooms among other places. The show should be all energy and as unpredictable as any rock ‘n’ roll show should be. The group embraces their insanity.
Musically, Monotonix is a simple guitar, drum, vocal trio that plays stripped-down, all-out kind of tunes. In a live setting, though, the music is completely secondary to their jaw-dropping antics.
It should be a sweaty, chaotic good time for everyone involved and a great way to celebrate the holiday, even if foreigners provide the grooves.
